Holy Communion

ur main services are held weekly at 9.30 am and 11.00 am when we join together to share Holy Communion, a  contemporary language service with a mix of traditional and modern hymns, Bible Readings and a sermon.

The early morning 8.00 am service on the first and third Sundays is taken from the Book of Common Prayer and is in traditional language.

Holy Communion is celebrated in response to Jesus’ command to his disciples at the Last Supper when he broke bread and shared wine with them to symbolise what was going to happen to him on the cross.

It is an important part of Christian worship and all those who normally receive Holy Communion in their own churches of any denomination or who are confirmed are welcome to join in the bread and wine with us.

Anyone who is not sure about receiving the bread and wine is invited to come forward for a blessing.

After the Sunday morning service we meet after the service in church for refreshments and fellowship.
