What's happening in St. Andrew's from 1st January 2018. 

Toddler Services are generally on the 1st Monday of the month in term time.  We have tea and toast from 9.20, and story, song and a little prayer from 9.40 to 10am.  Toddler Services in February and March on the 1st Monday - that will be 5th February and 5th March. As the first Mondays in April and May are Bank Holidays, the Toddler Service will be one week later - on the 9th April and 14th Mayh. 

"Crossroads", crafts, activities and song with families in mind, are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, 4-5 pm

Dates and themes: 

28th January: parable of the Lost Coin

11th February: parable of the house built on rock.

25th February: the Good Samaritan.

11th March: Mothering Sunday

25th March Palm Sunday.


SWANWICK ST. ANDREW'S:  10th February we're delighted to welcome Martyn Noble back to St. Andrew's for a lunchtime organ recital with a difference.  Included in the £5 admission are - from 12 o'clock, light refreshments and a chance to have a chat with Martyn, followed at 12.30 by a programme to suit all tastes by this wonderfully talented young man.  Martyn is a regular visitor to Swanwick, nowadays he takes time from his duties as sub-organist at Her Majesty's Chapel Royal, St. James's Palace - among other things - to travel northwards to one of his favourite venues - us!

PENTRICH ST. MATTHEW'S:  13th February, 3-5pm. "Snowdrop  Tea" in PENTRICH VILLAGE  HALL.  Entrance £4.00.

SWANWICK ST. ANDREW'S : 14th February, 10-10.30  in the OLD SCHOOL HOUSE: Ash Wednesday Service of Holy Communion.  A "Christians Together in Swanwick" service with the Methodist and Baptist churches.

Christians Together also organise the monthly Village Breakfast: on Saturday 17th February 9-10.30 in the Baptist Church Schoolroom, and on 17th March in the Old School House. 

ADVANCE NOTICE - MESSY EASTER WILL BE HELD IN ST. ANDREW'S on 27th March, 10-2pm.  There will be refreshments!

"Thy Kingdom Come" - 8 days of prayer between 10th and 20th May.  This begins in St. Andrew's Church on Thursday evening, 10th May.
